1. Favourit launches very “unofficial” London Games campaign

Whether it’s live scores on events such as Basketball, or your need to prove you know who’ll pick up the most medals, Favourit has the London Games gamified, “very unofficially”.

Favourit, the social gaming platform is bringing you a brand new experience for live sports and entertainment and has launched a campaign branding itself as the very “unofficial” way to game the Games.

Want live scores on Games events such as Basketball? Fancy competing in virtual games covering the Games? (Apologies for so much usage of the word “games”.. it’s just we don’t want to mention the world Olym… whoops).

Favourit offers a massive range of Games based events including a complete virtual currency offering allowing you to place social bets and beat friends on major events in London. You can work your way up the very “unofficial” leaderboard and take the glorious title of “unofficial” expert. Genius!

Rather than just watching, why not compete in the Games yourself? But very “unofficially” of course. In fact, let’s pretend the Games don’t really exist, it’s the way the brand police wanted it for anyone who is not a global multinational selling fries, watches or widescreen TVs.

Get access to the very “unofficial” experince right here.

It’s only on for a limited time, so prove you’re an “unoffical” expert now!

  3. Gillard’s more social than Rudd

Whether or not you believe technology can predict the future, the online community is certainly having their say on which way the Gillard / Rudd leadership challenge is going. Whilst many political experts are out suggesting how margin MPs will vote, and the key influencers supporting either candidates nomination, the “people power” (as Kevin likes to refer to) is swelling with opinion.

Accordingly to live statistics generated on Sunday 26th February 2012, a day before the Labor party goes to ballot over it’s future leader, Julia Gillard or Kevin Rudd, Gillard remains more popular by those online.

Gillard’s social sentiment is currently 9:1, vs Rudd’s 4:1 on the topic of winning Monday’s ballot and remaining the Labor leader into the next election. This is even despite historical popularity - her online following via Twitter being approx 189k, vs Rudd’s 1.07M.

In the Twittersphere, the most popular hashtags linked to the topic include #auspoll, #respill and #kevenge. Unfortunately for the Liberal party (or perhaps fortunately in some people’s views), they are somewhat out of the limelight while Labor gets it’s house in order.
